At Hudson Road Primary on entry to our school, all children and their respective
families can expect a warm welcome.

This information covers admission to Reception as well as in-year admission and transfers and includes the Primary School transfer application form.
Reception
If you are successful in gaining a place in our Reception classes then you will be informed by Sunderland City Council around March/April. ( Please note that If your child attends Hudson Road Primary Nursery, this does not give you an automatic place in our Reception admissions and you will still need to apply.)
Once you have contacted us to confirm the place, we will let you know about our parent /carer meetings and visits that take place in the summer term.

In Year Transfer
Children who wish to move schools, or those moving into the area, can apply for a school place by contacting our school office on 0191 5143434.
Nursery
Children can attend Nursery the first full term after their 3rd Birthday and we start children in September and January each year. A child can go on our waiting list from any age by completing the application form and handing it in to the school office.
We offer 15 hours of Nursery and children either attend five morning sessions (8.30-11.30am) or afternoons (12.30-3.30pm). Once you have confirmed a place staff will contact you to arrange meetings and visits. We understand that each child is different and are starting arrangements take account of individual needs.
